Christmas Vacation

I am on Christmas Vacation for two weeks.
I had my periodic test last week.
Easy?
But we will have our Christmas Party in school on Saturday, December 20, 2008. My dress is that of a Rocker.
Oh, I am again caught by this cold. From time to time, I cough. It's good, my parents and my Nanay Bing have bought me medicines. Now, I am feeling better.

Look At Me

Striking ako, de ba?

Tita Mykha

Tita Mykha visited us on October 18, 2008. It was Tito Gigi's birthday celebration.
I enjoyed playing with Tita Mykha. We colored my coloring book, and just talked --anything.
She is the girlfriend of Tito Gigi. She works in Cebu city. she is actually from Bacolod City.

We first met at SM City Mandurriao, Iloilo City. I was then with my Tito Dodong. It so happened that Tito Gigi and Tita Myka went to SM City.

After Tito Dodong left, we three saw a movie. But I was so scared, I told Tito Gigi to leave the movie house after ten minutes. And we went out.

I Like Math

Our lesson in math last week was on the number before a number, like:
What number comes before 6?
And what number comes after 6?
I am very fast on this.

I Was Absent from my Class

In the picture, you can see my tita Inday, Tito gigi, my Mommy and her friend. This was taken when Tita Inday went home last July 3, 2008.

Last Friday, September 25, 2008, I was absent from my class because I got sick. But according to my doctor, my sickness does not need any antibiotic. I would just take paracetamol for my fever, and gargle water with rock salt. I feel better now--no more fever and I have regained my appetite.

Last week, my parents were very happy because I got one hundred per cent in my test.

Cigarette Butt

Yesterday afternoon, September 9, 2008, I had a freak accident.
I went out of our yard and run toward our neighbor's store. Unfortunately I passed by a man who had a lighted cigarette, and it touched my left arm--burnt! I went home crying. My Daddy immediately applied an ointment to my burnt skin.
When my Tatay Mel arrived home, he hugged me not knowing that I had a burn. I said no!
When Tatay Mel asked me why, I did not tell him. I did not like Daddy to tell Tatay Mel how it happened.
They talked in English. Since I could not understand them fully, I just kept quiet.

Last Sunday, I again went to my manghihilot because I had another kibit. I stumbled down two times in our nearby street when I run. Besides, I had cough.

But now, I am OK.

Buwan ng Pambansang Wika

We celebrated the Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa in our school this morning. I wore baro't saya. We have games. We were told to catch a live chick, but I did not like doing it. So I did not win any prize.

Here is one of my pictures. I am in blue.

I Am Four Years Old Now

I am now four years old.
Yesterday was my birthday.
Nanay Bing had to take a leave from her work just to be with me.
Nanay Bing and I went to SM City, Mandurriao, Iloilo City.
After taking our lunch, we saw a movie stared by John Lloyd and Sara Geronimo.
While seeing the movie, I noticed that John Lloyd cried. I asked Nanay Bing if he has no Mama.
We then went home.

Can You Do This?

I like to model.
Can you do this?

I Rode all I Could

This morning, my Tita Inday, Tito Gigi brought me to SM City.
And Tita Inday bought me a ticket that would allow me to ride in all the "joy cars" that I like to ride on for the whole day.
So I rode on the train, carousel, and other cars I liked to ride on for as long as I wanted to.
My Tito Gigi got tired of waiting for me!

I Now Know How to Write My Name!

After several exercises with my Mommy, I can now write my full name.
The writing is still crooked but complete and readable.
In the computer, I can do it well. I know where the letters are for my name in the keyboard.
I know how to go to microsoftword even if my Daddy left the computer in another program. I even know where my favorite cartoon programs are. I can navigate myself using the mouse. I hate being taught how to navigate. I just want to do it myself.

For the past days, my Mommy, my Daddy and my Nanay Bing have been busy preparing for my school supplies, my uniform and my mindset so that I would not cry in school.

But last Saturday afternoon, June 14, 2008, I woke up having fever. But still I played in our house and in the street, just in front of our house. I ran, but then I stumbled down! Oh, how I cried. My Tatay Mel carried me home and pacified me. I showed him my dirtied elbows and knees. Fortunately there were no bruises. But I told him my stomach was aching. He blew on it.

Then we again laughed at each other.

In the evening when I was with my Daddy I told him: Ano na lang ang pagschool ko kay may lanat ako? (What will happen to my schooling now that I have fever?)

My Mommy told me to take my medicine. I did.

Yesterday,June 15, 2008, my Mommy and my Daddy brought me again to my manghihilot.

When I reached home last night from Manghihilot and from SM City, I was very active. I showed to my Tatay Mel my new pair of slippers which I need in my school. I already have my blanket, and my school bag, and other things which I need in my schooling.

I was very OK and was ready for school. I had no more fever.

I Saw "Caregiver", the Movie

For the second time, I saw a movie.
It was Sharon Cuneta's megamovie: Caregiver.
I saw it together with Nanay Bing, Lola Mommie Rita, and others at SM City Mandurriao, Cinema One.

Pompie Got Sick

For the first time, I went with Tito Gigi to the dog hospital because his dog, Pompie is sick. He does not like to eat. When Tatay Mel spooned fed him this afternoon, he excreted it undigested --reddish like fresh blood. The color of Pompie's food is red. I mixed it with milk.
Pompie was very active during our barangay fiesta, like Friday, but the following morning, he was very weak. But he recovered yesterday. But again, this morning, Pompie just wanted to sleep.
I hope he can recover.
When I arrived, I told my Tatay Mel that Pompie was injected and he cried--so loud.
He was left in the hospital. The doctor found out that Pompie has so much worms.
Tito Gigi paid the vet med, P1,500.00 for his medicine and his confinement for three days.

My Yaya Chen Chen

My Yaya Chen Chen decided to go home.
She worked with us for almost two months.
She is from Barotac Viejo, Iloilo.
She came to us when Daddy was still in Makati.
She helped me in many ways: preparing my milk, washed my clothes, bathed me, gave me what I needed. She was an all around helper. She would also bring me to sleep. But I did not like her to sleep with me.
She was a heavy lady, with one child, from an illigitimate relationship.
Heavy physically.
And O when she ate--talagang five to six times than I can take.
She is a college graduate in agriculture, but could not find a job, so she decided to work with us as my yaya.
She was very helpful to me.
But many a time, I hated her because she would not give in to my demands: like leaving me alone to do what I thought I should do like not eating my breakfast. Or drinking my milk.
When Yaya Chen Chen left us, I was sleeping. So I was not able to hug her before she left us.
I hope to see her again.

I Can't Understand

For the past few weeks, I have been in showing some actions which irritated my Daddy and my Mommy.

When its time to eat, I want to go around.
In supper, I lose my appetite, especially so when my Nanay Bing cooked leche flan, one of my favorites. I eat it earlier, so probably that is the reason why I do not like to eat.

I know my parents and my grandparents love me. I hope they understand me and my little cracy attitudes. Really, I can't understand them ( the attitudes) myself.

I Can Now Write The Alphabet !

Some months back, Nanay Bing bought me a table with ABC and 1,2,3 printed on it.
These were nothing to me.
Until after Daddy enroled me at Iloilo Doctors' College for my Kinder 1 class.
Ms. Gomez interviewed me: What is your name? Do you know how to count?
I answered the first question. But the second, I could not understand.
When I reached home from Iloilo Doctors' College, I told my Daddy that I would study.
It was then that I realized the importance of those writings on my table.
When Mommy arrived home from work, she taught me how to write ABC and 1, 2, 3. She told me to copy those letters and numbers on my table. My writings are not straight yet, but my Tatay Mel gave me a star.
Because I demanded him to draw it on my paper.
Last night, Daddy taught me where my left hand and my right hand are. Now I know where my right ear is.

I Am Now Learning To Write

With my Mommy as my teacher, I am learning to write ABC, and One Two Three. I enjoy it especially so that my Tita Jam Jam is around. She is my classmate. I insist that she sits with us to learn ABC too!
But after which I get bored, then I have tantrum I would put off the tv while my Nanay Bing and the rest are watching it.
Of course, I will have again some "good words" from my Daddy or from my Nanay Bing.

With My Mommy and Daddy in Antique

In Antique, April 26, 2008.

I Am With My Daddy

I am with my Daddy, Tito Gigi, Nanay Bing and Tita Mia in Antique.

I Was Almost There

I went to Antique not only because we attended a barangay fiesta but also because I served as cap carrier of the Barangay Queen.

I am in red.

In Sibalom River

When I went to Antique, I went to the nearby river, Sibalom River.
I enjoyed playing in the river since there is no river in Iloilo City where we stay.

See how I look!

I Saw A Ballet Presentation

Last night, I saw a ballet presentation at the UP Visayas Auditorium.
The performers were no less than the members of Ballet Philippines in honor of the UPV graduating students and their parents.
The auditorium was full pack.
So I could see the performance, Tatay Mel had to carry me while he sat on his chair. When I got tired in that position, I decided to stay at the alley. There I saw the whole stage, and the whole performance.
But then I noticed that there were other children behind me. They were sitting on the floor, while I was standing.
I enjoyed the dancing.
Before we left for the presentation, my Tatay Mel told me to look at the dancers carefully so I could teach my Tita Chen-Chen, my new Yaya, ballet.

Am I Smart?

Am I smart, let me count the ways!
Two days ago, Nanay Bing prepared leche flan.
This is my favorite.
While eating supper, Nanay Bing gave me about a platelet size leche flan.
Of course I was so happy to have it.
While eating, Nanay Bing asked me where to go with?
Would it be with Tatay Mel?
Then out of the blue, I asked Tatay Mel: do you know how to cook?
Everybody just laughed.
Tatay Mel said that he knows how to cook rice and boil eggs.
Two nights ago, while we were taking our supper, and we talked about eggs.
This is also one of my favorite foods.
Tatay Mel asked me if dogs lay eggs.
I said no, only birds lay eggs.
How about people, do they lay eggs? Tatay Mel asked me.
I said, "only birds, I said!"
But Tatay Mel said, some fish also lay eggs and so are the crocodiles.
Thank you Tatay Mel, I said.

Primary Complex

For almost two months now, I have been suffering from intermitent cough.
And my Mommy has noticed that I have been losing weight. And my appetite.
I have been taking my cough syrup, and my vitamins. And lately, I was enhaling ventulin for supposedly my "asma". But still I have been losing my appetite.
So last Monday, my Mommy brought me to my pediatrician, and I was asked to have a test to find out whether I have a primary complex. After three days, went back to my doctor.
Result: Positive.
I was given three different medicines for two months.
How did I get it?
My Mommy told me that my Tita Inday who was taking care of me while my my Mommy was at work has TB. And perhaps because one of my playmates, our neighbor, also has this problem: primary complex.
It's good that my sickness was immediately noticed.
But I am strong. I can recover my old health.
Thanks to my Nanay Bing and my Mommy who are so supportive of me.

Sean Marie, My Granddaughter

I would like to believe that Sean Marie (she prefers to be called Nene) is a talented child.

At 2 years and four months, she can now open the icon for the Counter Strike game, and proceed playing with it. She can press the right key to buy ammunition and she can control the computer mouse to strike the enemy.

She can count from one to ten in English and in Hiligaynon. She can also sing Dandansoy, My Toes My Knees complete with actions. She can determine whether her slipper is for the right or the left foot. She can unlease the shoelace of her shoes.
And she volunteers to do everything that you are doing.

And when we talk about her tandrum, she knows that she is the one being talked about.

And any other child of her age, she has a tandrum. When she is at the height of her anger, she would throw anything that she holds. But in a little while, she would be be smiling again.

If you have a camera, she wants to take you a picture. With a cellphone with a camera, she knows how to take a picture --at times of course, you have no head.
And when you take her a picture, she poses like a model, with all those sweet smile and her right foot lifted across her.

She likes to sing. So one time, I gave her a bottle of a baby powder and she used it as her microphone. Following the singers she sees in tv, she would sing and dance like a real singer.

What an enjoyment when you are with Sean Marie.

See my B I G medal as Most Behaved pupil.
I told my Tatay Mel that I would bring home more medals just like him.

I Am Now A UPV Alumna

Mommy and I were marching for my graduation.

I am now a UP Visayas alumna!
This morning, I received my certificate of graduation for my Day Care Class.
And I was so happy.
My Mommy, my Tatay Mel, my Nanay Bing and Tita Inday were at my graduation rite at the the Balay-Balay.
My award: Most Well-Behaved.
Our graduation speaker was Mrs. Jaen, a UPV alumna.
She talked on the human senses.
She enumerated 12 senses--I thought there were only five.
She said the following senses:

1.Sense of life
2. Sense of balance
3. Sense of movement
4. Sense of touch
5. Sense of warm
6. Sense of hearing
7. Sense of smell
8. Sense of taste
9. Sense of language
10.Sense of thought
11.Sense of ego.
12. Sense of seeing.

In our program, we acted like a fish.
This is what we said. But I can't recall the whole piece now.
Here is a part of it:

Four little fishes, swimming in the sea.
Teasing Mr. Shark: "You can't catch me."
Hello Mr. Shark and keep quiet.

I Again Visited the Manghihilot

For more than two weeks, I had cough.
My mother told me that it was due to the cold season.
I regularly took my medicine. But the cough would not leave me.
More so when I fell down again.
So again, my Nanay Bing and Tatay Mel brought me to my favorite manghihilot. He told me I had kibit--a little dislocation on my chest. Nanay Bing gave him a little token. He does not ask for any payment. Any amount would do.
after that short visit, I felt good again. I played around the house. I jumped and run and run.

My New Bike

I have been wishing to own a bike.

When my Mommy or my Daddy, or my Tatay Mel and Nanay Bing would bring me to SM City, the first place that I wanted to go was the place where bikes for children are displayed. I would ride on one of them and pedalled it, although I could not do much. I would not leave that place. And even if my Mommy would tell me to follow her because we had to buy my milk or my favorite drink,Choco, I would be hesitant.
But of course I had to go with her.
My Daddy is still in Makati.
When I talked with my Daddy over the phone, I would always tell him to buy a bike, yong pink. And of course, he would always say , he would. And he would tell me to be a good girl. And of course, I would always tell him, I would.

But one day, I noticed that my Tatay Mel had not arrived yet. And it was already dark. I missed him, as always because he would always look for me when he arrives home from school.

Then to my surprise, I saw Tito Janno, my uncle, carrying a bike. Tito Janno lives with us as he is studying in the city.

He told me, Tatay Mel bought me a bike. I heard him say that.--A bike!

I knew it was mine. I immediately run to him, and held the bike.

Oh, how happy I was. I immediately rode on it. And biked around our house.

I did not want to part from it, even when Mommy told me to have my supper.

Because I had to eat my supper, I brought the bike very near to my chair as I ate my supper.

I hurriedly ate my supper, and again on my bike and soon I was again riding on it.

Oh, how I sweated that night. My Mommy would always follow me to wipe the sweat on my back.

When it was about time to sleep, about 10:30, I told my Mommy that my bike be brought to my room.

So it was brought upstairs.

But it had to be parked at the corridor, instead in our room. I did not like it. But I had to obey. I am a good girl, isn't it?

The following day, my Mommy went home early. We went to the nearly plaza of the Great Vission Church. There I biked and biked until my Mommy got tired of following me.

Then we went home. And reported the event to Tatay Mel when he arrived from work.

Sunday, March 2, 2008

I Miss My Daddy

I always ask my Mommy why my Daddy is not going home when evening comes.
She will always tell me that my Daddy is in Makati working so that I can go to school and I can have milk.

But even then I always look for him especially when I am about to go to sleep.

It's good that my Mommy is always assuring me that soon my Daddy will come home.
I am also thankful that we have a telephone, so every day I can talk to him. But sometimes I do not feel like talking to him.

Yesterday, while playing outside of our house, I suddenly fell down. Again, I have a bruised knee. Of course, I cried. Good that my Tatay Mel was always there to comfort me. He would carry me, and says: "It's OK. It's OK." He applied betadine. This is a liquid medicine for wound. It's not painful when it is applied to cuts. But my knee swell a little. My Mommy was at work.

I might visit the manghihilot again.

Last month, my Tita Inday Vaness and my Daddy went home for a short vacation. They brought home so many breads. I was so happy, I could embrace my Daddy and could sleep beside him--at least for four days.

But he had to leave again. Mommy and I sent him to SM City where he took a van for the airport.

So I would not cry, Mommy bought me a big ball. I could not fully hug it. I gladly showed it to my Nanay Bing and Tatay Mel when I reached home.

I expect to come back to Iloilo on January 1, 2008.
