My Parents

(On the left picture, I'm with my Daddy)

I am proud of my parents.

My mother, Jenifer Andrin, is a native of Barotac Viejo, Iloilo while my father, Melchor Cichon, Jr., was born in Pasay City but grew up in Iloilo City.

My mother is a Bachelor of Science in Education major in Biology in University of San Agustin, Iloilo City, while my father finished Bachelor of Science in Aeronautic Communication Engineering in PATTS, Metro Manila. Aside from this my father is expert in computer.

They are not only responsible parents, but they are all caring.

Since my birth, with the help of my grandparents, all my needs like milk, water, clothes, medicines and all those I need for my healthy growth were well provided.

They were always around when I needed them. When I got sick, they would immediately provide me the proper medicine. Or they would bring me to my pediatrician.

This is the reason why I am healthy. I may look slim, but at two years and four months, I weighed more than 13 kilos. And I don't get sick so often. I experienced frequent sickness when my teeth were growing.

And I am smart.

Before I reached two years old, I could already wear my slippers on their right places, even if they were not in their proper positions. I would insert my right foot on the right foot slipper, my left foot on the left foot slipper.

At two years old, I could count from one to ten in English and in Hiligaynoon.

I could also sing Dandansoy and My Toes, My Knees.

I am very observant and I want to do things myself.

I will always say: Ako lang.

I can take pictures with my parents' cellphone.

And when my Tito Gigi would take me a picture, I would raise my right foot and smile.

I would like to think that I were a fashion model.

Before I celebrated my first birthday, I could already walk and I could cleary speak some words like Papa, Mama.

My Baptismal

On December 28, 2006, I was baptized in Mandurriao Catholic Parish Church, Mandurriao, Iloilo City. It was a sunny day.

The parish priest who administered my baptismal was Fr. Serra.

Some of my godparents were: John Rey, Rey, Mark, Johnsy, John Paul, Esse, Baby Girl, and Rose Niog.

The reception was held in our house in Brgy. Bolilao, Mandurriao, Iloilo City. There were about fifty people who came to our house and shared the foods my parents and my grandparents had prepared.

But of course, I was too tired so I just slept even before we reached home from the church.

My Name

My parents are arquing as to who have given me my name.
My Daddy says that he wanted to have my name that begins with S and M since he was always in the newly constructed SM City in Mandurriao, Iloilo City, while my Mommy says that she had been thinking of naming me Sean Marie.

They also checked the list of baby's names in the internet.

And the final selection was Sean Marie.

Why Sean Marie?

Both my parents like the name.

And I like it too.

But I like to be called Nene after my grandmother called me Nene while I was on vacation in Barotac Nievo, Iloilo.

So that's it!

My Birthday

It was Sunday morning, August 15, 2004 at about 9.24 when I was born in Iloilo Doctors Hospital, Iloilo City. It was a sunny day.

My attending physician was Dra. Espanta, while that of my Mommy was Dr. Marilou Papilota Juan Loa.

The biggest world event then was an Olympics Games.

When I was brought in to the nursery room, I was the longest, 47 centimeters and 3.7 kilograms, among the children in that room.

And when I cried, I opened my mouth so wide as if I were an opera singer.

I could not immediately sleep with my mother because I was born via caesarian method.

My mother had a goiter and the doctor who followed my mother's pregnancy had advised my mother that I be born through the caesarian.

My parents, my grandparents were all very happy of my birth because I came out normal.

My mother had been taking several medicines before my birth, medicines for her goiter and my health.

After two days, my parents brought me home in Bolilao, Mandurriao, Iloilo City.
